BOTOX - 10 YEARS YOUNGER?
It was hard to miss Samantha gushing about Botox in the new
Sex & the City movie. Even though I’ve heard lots about Botox,
I have to admit I didn’t really know much about it. The SATC
endorsement was enough for me to finally pluck up the courage to find
out.
One thing I did know was that I’d make sure I found a fully qualified
doctor to do it. So, with a recommendation from a close friend, I
visited the Townshend Skin Clinic in St Giles Terrace, Northampton.
Inside a beautiful town house is an oasis far removed from a surgery
waiting room (look out for the gorgeous designer wallpaper!).
Definitely the kind of place Samantha would have her Botox done though
I suspect it would also have something to do with Dr Townshend! (As it
turns out, he’s actually a ‘Mr’ since he’s trained as a surgeon).
All consultations are free so I wasn’t worried that I’d feel pressured
to go ahead with treatment if I didn’t want to. I needn’t have worried
– most of the things I was concerned about weren’t actually true (no,
Botox wasn’t going to poison me and yes, I would still look natural
after).
After discussion, I had my crow’s feet treated and a week later, it
really has worked wonders. The best bit is that nobody need know, they
just say how well I’m looking! I don’t suppose I’m 10 years younger but
the clinic’s strap line of “it only takes minutes to take off years”
certainly is true.
